Peter Arvanitis is entering his 7th season as Head Coach of the University of Oklahoma Hockey Team. He has accumulated a record of 142-59-25 for a winning percentage of .684. Each year under Coach Arvanitis's guidance the Sooners have been ranked in the top ten and as high as number 2 going into the National Tournament. Peter played his professional hockey in the CHL. In 436 games he recorded 243 points and served 1,289 penalty minutes. His first year with the OKC Blazers he established a then league record 35 major penalties and 403 penalty minutes. He then went onto ranking in the top in 10 different categories with this franchise which included: 1st in penalty minutes, 1st in major penalty minutes, 3rd in games played, 3rd in shorthanded goals, 6th in goals, and 6th in power play goals. He was also a member of the Championship Team that won the Central Hockey League Ray Miron Cup in 2000-2001 season. Was voted “Fan Favorite” for the years 1997-1999 and 2001-2004.
