Laurie played with the Concordia Stingers, from 2008-13 and sees herself as a defensive defense. Joining the Stars is an exciting challenge both in terms of the level of play and the rapidity of execution. She started playing hockey at age 4 with her father and brothers, and played with the Chaudiere-Etchemin scouts. She currently volunteers in the field of mental health and suicide prevention.

Laurie a joué cinq ans avec les Stingers de l’Université Concordia de 2008 à 2013 et se considère comme une défense défensive. Son arrivée chez les Stars représente pour elle un défi excitant tant au niveau du calibre de jeu que de la rapidité d’exécution. Elle a débuté le hockey avec les Éclaireurs de Chaudière-Etchemin. Elle s’implique en tant que bénévole dans les domaines de la santé mentale et de la prévention du suicide.
