In her first season with the Montréal Stars, Cecere scored the first goal of the final game of the Clarkson Cup chamionship as the Stars would go on to win the Cup for the third time in four years. Prior to joining the Stars, Cecere had an outstanding 5 year hockey career with the McGill Martlets, as she played a big part in the Martkets’ 3 CIS championship victories. In 2009 she played with the Canadian National Team in the Winter Universiade in Harbin, China, bringing home the gold medal for her country.
Cecere is known as “Chech” to her teammates and started playing hockey at age 5, following in the skates of her older brother. She currently works as a teacher when she’s not on the ice.
