Stan played for the North Bay Trappers in the NOJHL and led them to a second place overall in league standings. Stan managed to put up 17 goals and 17 assists for 34 points in 32 games. Despite only playing 32 games due an illness, Stan led his team in powerplay goals with 7. After the season, Stan's dominating play was noticed outside of the NOJHL and was acquired by the Langley Chiefs in the BCHL. Where he put up 4 goals and 2 assists in 7 games but, ended up back in Ontario after an injury setting him back a month.
Stan grew up mostly in the US but, moved back to Canada to further his hockey career and signed with the Pickering Panthers of the OPJHL at the age of 16. He went on to put up 2 goals and 5 assists in 23 games. For development Stan opted to go play for his local midget team who was ranked top 5 in the country. Coming down from junior Stan would be an obvious leader on the team and help lead them to winning the OMHA's and to a heart breaking semi-final loss in the OHF's to the later Telus Cup Champions. The next year he went to Avon Old Farms in order to improve his education and SAT scores to improve his chances for achieving a division 1 NCAA scholarship.
Stan for his size is a phenomenally smooth and fast skater, along with his good hands and shot. It is no wonder why he is able to make plays few other players can. He is always an offensive threat and makes those around him better. His scoring and play making ability makes him an asset to any division 1 program would want.
