West blows out Central, 5-0

West had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-0 win over Central.

West was led by Ethan Daniels, who racked up one goal. Daniels scored 12 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 West. Hudson Cramer provided the assist.

West forced Central's goaltenders to work all game long, ripping 34 shots and forcing 29 saves. Joseph Giacobbo made 13 stops and Hunter Smith made 16.

West additionally got points from Hunter Alden, who also had one goal and one assist and Hayden Givens, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. West also had goals scored by Adam Eby and Bobby Freiling, who each put in one. In addition, West received assists from Ross Hanson and Matthew Kopperud, who contributed one each.

Central put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow West to score on any of its six power plays. Central was held below its usual level of production. Central averages 2.7 goals per game.

West took out Bronson Moore after he had made 13 saves and installed William Lowe III in goal, where he finished with 17 saves and the win. West incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Central incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
