The Carleton Place Canadians tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Ottawa Senators held on for a 3-2 victory. A goal by Isaac Anderson put Ottawa up 3-0 in the second period, but Carleton Place pulled to within one on Marcus Joseph's tally 18:56 into the third period. With the win, the Senators evened the series at 2-2 in the best of seven showdown. Ottawa got the win behind a great game by Jaren Burke, who had one goal and two assists. Burke scored short handed 7:55 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Ottawa. An elbowing call on Mitchell Gibson put the Senators on the penalty kill. More assists for Ottawa came via Evan Lindquist and Louis-Charles Croteau, who each chipped in one. The Canadians stifled Ottawa's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Carleton Place was helped by Maxime StPierre, who registered one goal. StPierre scored 18:52 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Ottawa. Will LeNeave assisted on the tally. In addition, Carleton Place received assists from Owen Grant, Jordan Larson, and Tim Theochardis, who contributed one each. Ian Andriano made 27 saves for the Senators on 29 shots. Ottawa incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Canadians' Colton Point stopped 26 shots out of the 29 that he faced. Carleton Place incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
