Trenton's Emerson deadly on offense in 2-0 win against Georgetown

Mitch Emerson was all over the ice for the Trenton Golden Hawks, as he tallied two goals in Trenton's 2-0 win over the Georgetown Raiders.

Emerson's tallies came on the power play at 17:11 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Trenton and 19:58 into the third to make the score 2-0 Trenton.

The win by the Golden Hawks broke a deadlock and gave Trenton a 2-1 advantage in the best of seven series.

Daniel Urbani spearheaded the defensive effort for the Golden Hawks, as he did not allow a puck past him and made 28 saves for the shutout. Urbani certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 1.61 entering the contest.

Trenton stifled Georgetown's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

In addition, Trenton received assists from Quinn Lenihan, Hunter Fargey, and Curtis Harvey, who each chipped in one.

The Golden Hawks incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Andrew Masters recorded 21 saves for the Raiders. Georgetown incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
