Burlington downs Georgetown in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Burlington Cougars' Jordan Peacock scored 9:36 into overtime to beat the Georgetown Raiders, 3-2 (OT).

With the win, Burlington evened the series at 1-1 in the best of seven showdown.

The Cougars were led by Peacock, who registered one goal and one assist.

Burlington kept Georgetown's goalie busy throughout the game, and Andrew Masters made 39 saves on 42 shots.

Burlington additionally got points from Chris Cobham, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Burlington also got a goal from Tyler Riter as well. Other players who recorded assists for Burlington were Zac Herrmann, who had two and Mike Faliero and David Thomson, who contributed one each.

The Raiders forced the Cougars goalie Andrew Lee to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots.

Georgetown was helped by Brendan Jacome, who finished with one goal. Jacome scored on the power play 9:15 into the second period to make the score 1-1. The Raiders had taken the advantage when Burlington's David Kiss got sent off for interference. Zack Dybowski provided the assist. Ryan Takamatsu also scored for Georgetown. In addition, Georgetown received assists from Austin Cho and Andrew Court, who each chipped in one.

The Cougars' Lee stopped 38 shots out of the 40 that he faced. Burlington incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Georgetown incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
