Trenton downs Kingston, 5-2Duncan Memorial Sun, Apr 03, 2016 Story by Narrative Science.
Curtis Harvey finished with one point to lead the Trenton Golden Hawks to a 5-2 victory over the Kingston Voyageurs. After the loss made the series score 3-0 in the best of seven series, Kingston faces elimination next time out. Trenton put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Voyageurs to score on any of their five power plays. The defensemen of the Golden Hawks were also effective in Kingston's zone, and came away with two goals. Trenton also had goals scored by Blayne Oliver, Adam Clements, Lucas Brown, and Hunter Fargey, who each put in one. More assists for Trenton came via Brandon Marinelli, Kevin Lavoie, Danny Hanlon, and Josh Allan, who contributed one each and Liam Morgan, Mitch Emerson, and Jordan DaSilva, who each chipped in two. The Voyageurs' penalty kill was ineffective, and let in three goals to Trenton's power play unit. Kingston was helped by Austin Boulard, who registered one goal. Boulard scored 13:22 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Trenton. Zachary Emelifeonwu provided the assist. Matthew Lourenco also scored for Kingston. In addition, Kingston received assists from Jacob Hanlon, Colin Tonge, and Ian Harris, who contributed one each. Daniel Urbani rejected 26 shots on goal for the Golden Hawks. Trenton incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. David Richer made 19 saves for the Voyageurs on 23 shots. Kingston incurred 44 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
