Hanlon's big game bests Kingston in 5-1 Trenton winINVISTA Center Thu, Mar 31, 2016 Story by Narrative Science.
The Trenton Golden Hawks' Danny Hanlon had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 5-1 win over the Kingston Voyageurs. Hanlon scored on the power play at 16:43 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and again while 24 seconds into the third to make the score 3-1 Trenton.The win gave Trenton a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series. The Golden Hawks were led by goalie Daniel Urbani, who finished with 37 saves while allowing one goal. Urbani certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 1.41 entering the contest. Trenton put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Kingston to score on any of its three power plays. Others who scored for Trenton included Lucas Brown, Josh Allan, and Mac Lewis, who each put in one. In addition, Trenton received assists from Liam Morgan, Kevin Lavoie, Ben Scheel, and Adam Clements, who each chipped in one and Mitch Emerson and Hunter Fargey, who contributed two each. The Voyageurs' offense rang up 38 shots on the Golden Hawks' net. Kingston was led by Austin Boulard, who scored the team's only goal. Boulard scored 2:27 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Kingston. Colin Tonge assisted on the tally. Trenton incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. David Richer made 16 saves for the Voyageurs on 21 shots. Kingston incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
