MISSISSAUGA had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-1 win over DURHAM WEST.

The win gave MISSISSAUGA a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

MISSISSAUGA's Carmen Lasis was a brick wall in net, as she came up with 25 saves and let only one puck past her. Lasis managed to improve on her goals against average, which stood at 1.21 prior to the game.

MISSISSAUGA was paced by Emily Pinto, who tallied one goal. Pinto scored 3:57 into the second period to make the score 2-0 MISSISSAUGA. Daryl Watts picked up the assist.

MISSISSAUGA excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

More assists for MISSISSAUGA came via Kaelyn Johnson, Leah Galati, Stephanie Gava, Jordan Marchese, and Natalie Marcuzzi (A), who each chipped in one.
