Great Falls tried its best to erase a two-goal deficit, but Metro would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 5-4. Metro made the score 5-3 on a goal by Mathias Tellstrom at 19:07 in the third period, and Great Falls got as close as 5-4 when Tyler Garcia scored 19:31 into the third period. Metro was sparked by Tellstrom, who racked up one goal. Metro forced Great Falls goalie Jake Stephan to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots. Metro additionally got points from Jacob Gleason, who also registered one goal and one assist. Metro also had goals scored by Cam Schwartz, Robert Flannery, and Matt Dempsey, who each put in one.
