Carleton Place downs Brockville, 6-3

Braedyn Asselstine registered two points to lead the Carleton Place Canadians to a 6-3 victory over the Brockville Braves.

The win by Carleton Place clinched the best of seven series at 4-0.

The Canadians kept Brockville's goalie busy throughout the game, and Henry Johnson made 30 saves on 36 shots. Carleton Place got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Carleton Place also got points from Marcus Joseph, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Jacob Moreau, who also had one goal and two assists, and Maxime StPierre, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Carleton Place also had goals scored by Bryce VanHorn and Jordan Larson, who each put in one. In addition, Carleton Place received assists from Owen Grant, Brett Murray, and Alex Friesen, who contributed one each and Geoff Kitt and Alex Robinson, who each chipped in two.

The Braves were helped by Andrew Jarvis, who registered one goal. Jarvis scored on the power play 7:30 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Brockville. Brockville had gotten the advantage when the Canadians' Asselstine was sent off for boarding. Vincenzo Renda picked up the assist. Brockville additionally got points from Ian Johnston, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Brockville also got a goal from Thomas Dunleavy as well. More assists for Brockville came via Jack Billings, Tre Folkes, and Liam Folkes, who contributed one each.

Carleton Place's Colton Point stopped 24 shots out of the 27 that he faced. The Canadians incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Braves incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
