The Ottawa Senators relied on the sparkling performance of Ian Andriano in net to grab a 2-1 win against the Hawkesbury Hawks. The win by Ottawa clinched the best of seven series at 4-2. The Senators were led by Zacharie Car, who registered one goal. Car scored 17:54 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Ottawa. Sean Rappleyea assisted on the tally. Ottawa's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Hawkesbury power plays. The Senators kept Hawkesbury's goalie busy throughout the game, and Andrew Tucci made 31 saves on 33 shots. Ottawa also got points from Rappleyea, who also finished with one goal and one assist. The Hawks stifled Ottawa's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Senators were unable to stop Hawkesbury from sending pucks towards the net, and the Hawks eventually piled up 40 shots on goal. Hawkesbury was led by Eric Theander, who scored the team's only goal. Theander scored 2:09 into the third period to make the score 1-0 Hawkesbury. Chris Smith provided the assist. Ian Andriano made 39 saves for Ottawa on 40 shots. The Senators incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Hawks incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
