The St. Catharines Falcons' Nicholas Dozzi had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing two assists in his team's 6-3 win over the Ancaster Avalanche. Dozzi scored on the power play 12:00 into the third period to make the score 4-3 St. Catharines. St. Catharines had gotten the advantage when Ancaster's Reilly Webb was sent off for cross checking. Broderick Kelly picked up the assist. Dozzi dished an assist on Jake Evans's goal that made the score 2-1 St. Catharines at 14:34 into the second period. He added another helper on Owen Green's goal that made the score 6-3 St. Catharines at 18:05 into the third period.After the loss made the series score 3-2 in the best of seven series, the Avalanche face elimination next time out. The Falcons' penalty kill excelled, as St. Catharines gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays. Ancaster was unable to stop the Falcons from sending pucks towards the net, and St. Catharines eventually piled up 42 shots on goal. The Falcons cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring two goals on three chances. St. Catharines additionally got points from Connor Hill, who also registered one goal and one assist. Anthony Postiglione also scored for St. Catharines. More assists for St. Catharines came via Brandon Cercone, who had two and James Guest, Tyler Jackson, Aaron St. Pierre, and Noah Perlic, who each chipped in one. The Avalanche kept St. Catharines' goalie busy throughout the game, and Joel Horodziejczyk made 32 saves on 35 shots. Ancaster was helped by Joshua Pace, who tallied one goal. Pace scored 5:51 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Ancaster. Ben Hughes provided the assist. Ancaster also got points from Hughes, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Ancaster also got a goal from Adam Meijer as well. In addition, Ancaster received assists from Max Balinson and Zach Lawrence, who contributed one each. The Falcons incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For St. Catharines, Tanner Allen was ejected from the game. Cole Ceci made 36 saves for the Avalanche on 41 shots. Ancaster ended with 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major. The Avalanche ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Cole Nagy was ejected from the game.
