Ancaster downs St. Catharines in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Zach Lawrence gave the Ancaster Avalanche a 3-2 (OT) victory over the St. Catharines Falcons when he scored 11:05 into the extra period.

With the win, Ancaster evened the series at 2-2 in the best of seven showdown.

The Avalanche were paced by Lawrence, who racked up one goal.

Ancaster's offense rang up 54 shots on St. Catharines' net.

Ancaster also had goals scored by Adam Meijer and Joshua Pace, who scored one goal each. More assists for Ancaster came via Ben Hughes, Owen Norton, Max Balinson, Tyler Bell, and Owen Burnell, who each chipped in one.

The Falcons kept the Avalanche's goalie busy throughout the game, and Cole Ceci made 85 saves on 87 shots.

St. Catharines was helped by Mitchell Webb, who finished with one goal. Webb scored on the power play 10:57 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Ancaster. The Falcons earned a power play opportunity when Reilly Webb was put in the box for high sticking. Justin Felker provided the assist. Romaeo D`Intino also scored for St. Catharines. In addition, St. Catharines received assists from James Guest, who had two.

Ancaster incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. St. Catharines' Joel Horodziejczyk stopped 51 shots out of the 54 that he faced. The Falcons incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
