Trenton boosted by Urbani's play in net, beats Wellington 2-1Duncan Memorial Wed, Mar 16, 2016 Story by Narrative Science.
Daniel Urbani stood on his head and made 27 saves to lead the Trenton Golden Hawks to a 2-1 victory over the Wellington Dukes. The win gave Trenton a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series. The Golden Hawks were sparked by Nick Boddy, who tallied one goal. Boddy scored 15:33 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Trenton. Kevin Lavoie assisted on the tally. Wellington was unable to stop Trenton from sending pucks towards the net, and the Golden Hawks eventually piled up 32 shots on goal. Trenton did not rack up many penalties in the contest, tallying just one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Trenton also got a goal from Danny Hanlon as well. In addition, Trenton received assists from Lucas Brown, who had one. The Dukes were led by Luc Brown, who scored the team's only goal. Brown scored 7:36 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Wellington. The Golden Hawks registered zero goals on one power play opportunities. Sam Tanguay rejected 30 shots on goal for Wellington. The Dukes incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
