Jacome lifts Georgetown over North York, 7-3

Behind a great game by Jack Jacome, who had two goals, the Georgetown Raiders defeated the North York Rangers, 7-3.

Jacome found the back of the net 19:50 into the second period to make the score 4-3 Georgetown and again while 4:31 into the third to make the score 6-3 Georgetown.

With the win, Georgetown evened the series at 2-2 in the best of seven showdown.

In a losing effort, North York was led by Grayden Gottschalk, who finished with two goals. Gottschalk scored the first of his two goals at 2:29 into the first period to make the score 1-0 North York. Chris Sekelyk assisted on the tally. Gottschalk's next tally made the score 3-3 with 1:40 left in the second period. Jeremy Szabo picked up the assist.

The Raiders forced the Rangers' goaltenders to work in net, firing 36 shots and forcing 29 saves. Gianluca Baggetta made 23 stops and Jeremie Lintner made six.

Georgetown additionally got points from Michael Boushy, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Jonathan Hampton, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Matthew Cairns, who also had one goal and one assist, and Andrew Court, who also registered one goal and one assist. Georgetown also got a goal from Daniel Hardie as well. In addition, Georgetown received assists from Zack Dybowski, who had two and Jake Payette, Arran MacDonald, Bailey Molella, Ashur Elliot, Matthew Thom, and Brendan Jacome, who each chipped in one.

North York forced Georgetown goalie Andrew Masters to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots.

Fedor Rudakov also scored for North York. More assists for North York came via Michael Morgan, who had two and Tyler Currie and Keegan Blasby, who contributed one each.

Andrew Masters made 34 saves for the Raiders on 37 shots. Georgetown incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. For the Raiders, Jordan Crocker was ejected from the game. The Rangers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
