Miami University downs Grand Valley State University in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Miami University RedHawks' Becca Senden scored 1:51 into overtime to beat the Grand Valley State University Lakers, 3-2 (OT).

Miami University was led by Senden, who finished with one goal.

In the losing effort, Grand Valley State University was sparked by Taylor Lampar, who racked up two goals. Lampar scored the first of his two goals at 10:42 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Grand Valley State University. Kendra Myers picked up the assist. Lampar's next tally made the score 2-1 Grand Valley State University with 16:44 left in the third period. Tea Greca provided the assist.

The RedHawks stifled the Lakers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Miami University's offense rang up 38 shots on Grand Valley State University's net.

Miami University also got points from Ireland Mooney, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Alyssa Visalli also scored for Miami University. More assists for Miami University came via Natalie Hornbuckle and Kaley Mooney, who contributed one each.

The RedHawks' Emalee Wills stopped 13 shots out of the 15 that he faced. Miami University incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Lauren Allen rejected 35 shots on goal for the Lakers. Grand Valley State University incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
