The Grand Valley State University Lakers pulled out a 2-1 (OT) overtime victory over the Adrian College Bulldog on a clutch goal by Alexa Tenwalde.

Grand Valley State University was led by goalie Lauren Allen, who finished with 42 saves while allowing one goal. Allen certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 1.94 entering the contest.

The Lakers were paced by Tenwalde, who had one goal. Tenwalde scored 7:42 into to make the score 2-1 Grand Valley State University.

Grand Valley State University excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Lakers' offense rang up 31 shots on Adrian College's net. Grand Valley State University got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Sally Hoerr also scored for Grand Valley State University. More assists for Grand Valley State University came via Kristen Iannuzzi and Stacey Mathieu, who contributed one each.

The Bulldog's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on nine Grand Valley State University power plays. Adrian College was held below its usual level of production.
