Breezy Point downs Twin City in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Alec Hooper gave Breezy Point a 4-3 (OT) victory over Twin City when he scored 3:32 into the extra period.

With the win, Breezy Point avoided elimination to make the series score 1-1 in the best of three series.

Breezy Point came back from a three-goal deficit to capture the victory. Breezy Point trailed 3-0 after a power play goal by Twin City's Fritz Belisle at 7:16 in the second period. Breezy Point knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Josh Laven at 19:32 in the third period.

Jake Tomkowiak had one goal and two assists to lead Breezy Point. Tomkowiak scored 18:19 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Twin City. Nick Blanchette assisted on the tally.

Twin City was unable to stop Breezy Point from sending pucks towards the net, and Breezy Point eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Breezy Point also got points from Blanchette, who also had one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Breezy Point were Christian Lenzmeier, Kyle Klatt, and Austin Langworthy, who each chipped in one.

Twin City was helped by Jay Paul, who tallied one goal. Paul scored 10:37 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Twin City. Belisle picked up the assist. Twin City additionally got points from Belisle, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Twin City also got a goal from Luc Kreuser as well. In addition, Twin City received assists from Jared Erickson, Joe Costello, and Yannick Zehnder, who contributed one each.

Breezy Point's Wes Paupore stopped 27 shots out of the 30 that he faced. Breezy Point totaled 37 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 1-for-3 on the power play. Breezy Point ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Tyler Larwood was ejected from the game. Nathan Siclovan rejected 30 shots on goal for Twin City. Twin City incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
