Devin Kelly netted a hat trick to lead Metro over Wooster, 10-5. Kelly's first goal came 10:35 into the second period. He then added goals at 10:54 into the second and at 16:14 into the second.After the loss made the series score 1-0 in the best of three series, Wooster faces elimination next time out. Wooster trailed by one after the first period, but Metro went into the second intermission with a 7-2 lead and never looked back. Metro forced Wooster goalie Ben Luitgaarden to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. Metro additionally got points from David Chavis, who also had one goal and one assist, Pearce Vance, who also registered two goals and two assists, and Chase Sereno, who also grabbed one goal and three assists. Others who scored for Metro included Jacob Rutkoske, Graham Day, and Kevin Shand, who scored one goal each. More assists for Metro came via Chas Distelrath, who had three, Marc Schwartz, Jacob Drinkard, Jason Newel, and Jason Recchia, who each chipped in one, and Mathias Tellstrom, Robert Flannery, and Matt Dempsey, who contributed two each. Wooster was helped by Nick Mooney, who finished with one goal and one assist. Mooney scored 6:00 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Wooster. Jason Watts provided the assist. Wooster also had goals scored by Tyler Houmard, who had two and Tyler Groth, Rubin Chavarria, and Brandon Scholze, who scored one goal each. In addition, Wooster received assists from Brad Sneed, Trenton Mulnix, and Andy Romani, who each chipped in one. Kameron Limburg made 19 saves for Metro on 24 shots. Metro incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Luitgaarden rejected 23 shots on goal for Wooster. Wooster incurred 46 minutes in penalty time with 13 minors.
