In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Carleton Place Canadians escaped with a 4-2 victory over the Pembroke Lumber Kings. No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Will LeNeave at 9:05 of the second period. After the loss made the series score 3-1 in the best of seven series, Pembroke faces elimination next time out. Carleton Place was paced by Bryce VanHorn, who racked up one goal and one assist. VanHorn scored on the power play 1:12 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Carleton Place. Nicolas Carrier picked up the assist. Others who scored for Carleton Place included Brett Murray and Alex Friesen, who scored one goal each. In addition, Carleton Place received assists from Jordan Larson, who had two and Owen Grant and Connor Merkley, who each chipped in one. The Lumber Kings were led by Alex Gilmour, who had one goal and one assist. Gilmour scored on the power play 2:24 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Pembroke. Pembroke had gotten the advantage when the Canadians' Marcus Joseph was sent off for interference. Derek Varrin assisted on the tally. Colton Keuhl also scored for Pembroke. More assists for Pembroke came via Chris Minns and Patrick Kyte, who contributed one each. Colton Point made 28 saves for Carleton Place on 30 shots. The Canadians incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Lumber Kings' Boyd Diclemente stopped 22 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Pembroke incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
