Currie leads Grimsby to shutout victory over Glanbrook

The win by Grimsby broke a deadlock and gave Grimsby a one-two advantage in the best of seven series.

Peach Kings's penalty kill excelled, as Peach Kings gave up zero goals despite allowing 13 power plays.

Grimsby stifled Rangers's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Peach Kings were helped by Garnet McComber, who grabbed one goal and one assist.McComber scored in the second period to make the score 2-0 Grimsby. Aidan Board assisted on the tally.Grimsby additionally got points from Brady Cranwell, who also registered one goal and one assist and Brennan Smith, who also registered one goal and one assist. Grimsby also got a goal from Jeromy Hopkins as well. In addition, Grimsby received assists from Board, who had two and Curtis Conrad and Addison DeTullio, who each chipped in one.

Grimsby were unable to stop Glanbrook from sending pucks towards the net, and Glanbrook eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

Peach Kings totaled 39 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major and went 1-for-7 on the power play. For Grimsby, Trevor McEneny and James Thorpe were ejected from the contest. Glanbrook's Alex Horawski stopped 23 shots out of the 27 that he faced. Rangers incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
