Curtis Conrad gave the Grimsby Peach Kings a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Glanbrook Rangers when he scored 21 seconds into the extra period. The win gave Grimsby a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series. The Peach Kings overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. Grimsby was down 3-1 after a goal by Glanbrook's Noah Matteson at 14:08 in the first period. The Peach Kings tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Addison DeTullio at 16:47 in the third period. Grimsby was led by Conrad, who finished with one goal and one assist. The Peach Kings excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Grimsby also got points from Dillon Cipretti, who also tallied one goal and two assists and DeTullio, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Grimsby also got a goal from Matthew Jambrosich as well. More assists for Grimsby came via Marcus Brydon, James Thorpe, and Brennan Smith, who contributed one each. The Rangers kept Grimsby's goalie busy throughout the game, and Jeremy Currie made 28 saves on 31 shots. Garnet Batrynchuk also scored for Glanbrook. In addition, Glanbrook received assists from Brad Parish, who had two and Chris Haigh and Connor Maitz, who each chipped in one. The Peach Kings incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Glanbrook's Zach Moore stopped 25 shots out of the 29 that he faced. The Rangers incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
