St. Andrews College squeaks by Ridley College, 3-2

Ridley College's power play was ineffective against St. Andrews College's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

Saints were led by William Sirman, who registered one goal and one assist. Sirman scored in the third period to make the score 3-2 St. Andrews College. The score was assisted by Corey Andonovski and Reid Yochim.

St. Andrews College stifled Tigers's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.Saints kept Ridley College's goalie busy throughout the game, and Chris McGonigle made 38 saves on 41 shots.

St. Andrews College also got points from Andonovski, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Kody Clark also scored for St. Andrews College. More assists for St. Andrews College came via Ryan OConnell and Yochim, who contributed one apiece.

Tigers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow St. Andrews College to score on any of their four power plays.

Ridley College were helped by Matvey Skripchenko, who finished with one goal.Skripchenko scored in the second period to make the score 1-1 . Brandon Skubel claimed the first assist on the goal, and Cameron Beaudry got the second.Others who scored for Ridley College included Ryan Mahshie and Skripchenko, who scored one each. In addition, Ridley College received assists from Skubel, Beaudry, Carson Edwardson, and Andrew McIntyre, who each chipped in one.

Cole Chapman rejected 28 shots on goal for Saints. St. Andrews College incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Tigers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
