St. Andrews College rolls over Ridley College, 5-1

The St. Andrews College Saints had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-1 win over the Ridley College Tigers.

St. Andrews College was led by goalie Cole Chapman, who finished with 26 saves while allowing one goal. Chapman managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 1.5 prior to the game.

The Saints were led by Kody Clark, who had one goal. Clark scored 15:50 into the first period to make the score 2-1 St. Andrews College. Lucas Thorne picked up the assist.

Ridley College was unable to stop St. Andrews College from sending pucks towards the net, and the Saints eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

Others who scored for St. Andrews College included Corey Andonovski, who had two and Mitchell Martan and Regan Kimens, who scored one goal each. In addition, St. Andrews College received assists from William Sirman, Connor Ali, Reid Yochim, Jacob Miller, Morgan Barron, and Ryan OConnell, who each chipped in one.

The Tigers were led by Brandon Skubel, who scored the team's only goal. Skubel scored on the power play 14:00 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Ridley College. Ridley College had taken the advantage when St. Andrews College's Noah Lugli got sent off for interference. Matvey Skripchenko assisted on the tally.

The Saints incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Tigers' Chris McGonigle stopped 26 shots out of the 31 that he faced. Ridley College incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
