Newmarket Hurricanes comes out on top against Aurora Tigers Prospects in back-and-forth-game, 6-4

The teams traded the lead four times and neither team could skate away and hide.

Aurora Tigers Prospects were unable to stop Newmarket Hurricanes from sending pucks towards the net, and Newmarket Hurricanes eventually piled up 38 shots on goal.

Newmarket Hurricanes were helped by Cameron Rayner, who racked up two goals and one assist.Rayner scored the first of his two goals at 4:24 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Newmarket Hurricanes. Jake Cella provided the assist. Rayner's next tally made the score 4-3 Newmarket Hurricanes in the third period. The score was assisted by Adam Trotman and Matthew Carrington.Newmarket Hurricanes also got points from Mauro Biasutto, who also registered one goal and one assist and Trotman, who also registered two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. McKeen Chalmers also scored for Newmarket Hurricanes. More assists for Newmarket Hurricanes came via Carrington, who had two and Wesley MacPhearson and Cella, who contributed one apiece.
