Pickering Panthers beats Aurora Tigers Prospects 6-5 as Mansurov gets hat trick

The teams traded the lead six times and neither team could skate away and hide.

Pickering Panthers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Aurora Tigers Prospects to score on any of their six power plays.

Others who scored for Pickering Panthers included Max Golod, Mitchell Degray, and John Mainprize, who scored one each. More assists for Pickering Panthers came via Thomas Hernandez, Orlando Mainolfi, and Jayden Vaughan, who contributed one apiece.

Aurora Tigers Prospects were helped by Justin Janowski, who finished with two goals.Janowski scored the first of his two goals short handed at 11:21 into the second period to make the score 1-1 . Janowski's next tally short handed made the score 3-2 Aurora Tigers Prospects in the second period. Ryan Park provided the assist.Aurora Tigers Prospects also got points from Tyler Davis, who also registered one goal and one assist and Carson Andreoli, who also registered one goal and one assist. Aurora Tigers Prospects also had goals scored by Billy Constantinou, who had one and Janowski, who had two. In addition, Aurora Tigers Prospects received assists from Park, Jonathan Yantsis, Matt King, and Noah Loveday, who each chipped in one.

Pickering Panthers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Aurora Tigers Prospects incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
