Georgetown blows out Orangeville, 7-3Alcott Sat, Mar 05, 2016 Story by Narrative Science.
The Georgetown Raiders had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-3 win over the Orangeville Flyers. The win gave Georgetown a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series. Josh Dickinson had a great game for the Raiders, netting two goals. Dickinson found the back of the net 12:39 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Georgetown and again while on the power play 43 seconds into the second to make the score 4-1 Georgetown. Orangeville's nine penalties came back to haunt it, as the Flyers let up four goals while on the penalty kill. Georgetown forced Flyers' netminders to work in net, racking up 45 shots and forcing 38 saves. Nicholas Latinovich made 25 stops and Ruan Badenhorst made 13. Georgetown additionally got points from Ryan Takamatsu, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Daniel Hardie, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Georgetown also got a goal from Brendan Jacome as well. In addition, Georgetown received assists from Bailey Molella, Ashur Elliot, Kyle Allan, and Anthony Mota, who each chipped in one and Jordan Crocker, Jack Jacome, Matthew Cairns, and Andrew Court, who contributed two each. Orangeville was helped by Ethan Wiseman, who registered one goal and one assist. Wiseman scored 17:34 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Georgetown. Lucas Smilsky provided the assist. Orangeville also got points from Smilsky, who also had one goal and one assist. Colin Rigney also scored for Orangeville. More assists for Orangeville came via Kosta Likourezos, Derek Topatigh, Travis Brown, and Jack Jeffers, who each chipped in one. Andrew Masters rejected 24 shots on goal for the Raiders. Georgetown incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Flyers incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
