With the win, Kincardine avoided elimination to make the series score 3-2 in the best of seven series.

Kincardine put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Walkerton to score on any of their nine power plays.Bulldogs kept Hawks's goalie busy throughout the game, and Nick Redman made 20 saves on 31 shots.Kincardine had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just one goal on 11 chances.

Kincardine also had goals scored by Patrick Wiejak and Matthew Mah, who each put in one. In addition, Kincardine received assists from Brett Burrows, Dalton Hnatko, Shawn Moore, and Rooke, who each chipped in one.

Hawks were led by Reid Simmons, who scored the team's only goal. Simmons scored in the third period to make the score 3-1 Kincardine. The score was assisted by Nathan Kramer and Chris RolfVonDenBauman.

Bulldogs' Jacob Hutchings stopped 22 shots out of the 23 that he faced. Kincardine incurred 34 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Walkerton incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. For Hawks, Ryan Hamelin was ejected from the game.
