Huge game by Amante boosts Leamington over St. Marys, 11-2

The win by Leamington clinched the best of seven series at zero-four

Flyers's penalty kill excelled, as Flyers gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays.

Leamington stifled Lincolns's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.Flyers kept St. Marys's goalie busy throughout the game, and Emanuel Vella made 27 saves on 38 shots.

Leamington were helped by Mitchell Amante, who had one goal and two assists.Amante scored short handed in the first period to make the score 6-0 Leamington. Joe Urbanic and Zak Parlette registered the assists on the goal.Leamington additionally got points from Aaron Langlois, who also registered one goal and two assists , Liam Hogan, who also registered one goal and two assists , and Zach Guilbeault, who also registered one goal and one assist. Leamington also had goals scored by Cale Phibbs, who had one and Scott Emerson, Derek Elliott, and Mark Manchurek, who each put in two. In addition, Leamington received assists from Parlette, who had three, Urbanic, who had two, and Matthew Opblinger, who had one.

Lincolns put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Flyers to score on any of their five power plays.The defensemen of St. Marys were also effective in Leamington's zone, and came away with two goals.

Lincolns were led by Trent Dundas, who racked up one goal and one assist.Dundas scored in the third period to make the score 11-2 Leamington. Ryan Martin provided the assist.St. Marys also got a goal from Josh Zlatinszky as well. More assists for St. Marys came via Graham Brulotte and Martin, who each chipped in one.

Michael Barrett rejected 23 shots on goal for Flyers. Leamington incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. St. Marys incurred ten minutes in penalty time with five minors.
