A five-goal first period deficit cost the St. Marys Lincolns, which could not recover and fell to the Leamington Flyers, 8-2. The win gave Leamington a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series. Derek Elliott was all over the ice for the Flyers, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Elliott scored on the power play 8:24 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Leamington. Leamington earned a power play opportunity when Brody Smith was put in the box for cross checking. Mitchell Amante assisted on the tally. The Lincolns' offense were handcuffed by the Flyers' defensive play, and St. Marys managed only 14 shots on goal during the game. Leamington's Tyler Wall stopped 12 shots out of the 14 that he faced. The Flyers ended with 35 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors and one major. For Leamington, Aaron Langlois was ejected from the game. Emanuel Vella made 52 saves for the Lincolns on 60 shots. St. Marys totaled 33 minutes in penalty time with nine minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play. The Lincolns ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Mike Tuffin was ejected from the game.
