Stratford rolls over Brampton, 7-0

The Stratford Cullitons had a five-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-0 win over the Brampton Bombers.

After the loss made the series score 3-0 in the best of seven series, Brampton faces elimination next time out.

Stratford was sparked by Jared Nash, who tallied one goal and one assist. Nash scored 1:12 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Stratford. Hayden Broomhead picked up the assist.

The Cullitons excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Stratford forced the Bombers goalie Eric Pitcher to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots.

Stratford additionally got points from Josh Higgins, who also registered one goal and one assist, Zach Van Louwe, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Tyson Baker, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Justin Graham, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Stratford included Jack Wieringa and Maverick Petrie, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Stratford were Deven Kropf and Jack Scanlan, who contributed one each and Joe Leahy and Rob Grant, who each chipped in two.

The Cullitons' Alexander Brooks-Potts stopped 24 shots out of the 24 that he faced. Stratford incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Pitcher rejected 29 shots on goal for Brampton. The Bombers incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
