The London Nationals pulled out a 5-4 (OT) overtime victory over the Strathroy Rockets on a clutch goal by John Adams. The win gave London a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series. The Nationals overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. London was down 3-1 after a short handed goal by Strathroy's Steve Griggs at 19:48 in the second period. The Nationals tied things up at 4-4 on a goal by Kevin Madden at 15:58 in the third period. London's penalty kill excelled, as the Nationals gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays. London's offense rang up 55 shots on the Rockets' net. London also got points from Scott Dorion, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Trevor Dulong, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Scott Goodman also scored for London. Other players who recorded assists for London were Tanner Ferreira, Tyler Sehovic, Matt Doty, Jordan Di Cicco, Brenden Trottier, and Max Vinogradov, who each chipped in one. Strathroy's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five London power plays. The Rockets forced the Nationals goalie Zack Weir to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots. Strathroy was led by Nick Griffin, who grabbed one goal and two assists. Griffin scored 12:56 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Strathroy. Strathroy also had goals scored by Max Ewart and Kieran Milne, who each put in one. In addition, Strathroy received assists from Dante Copps, Matt Laberge, and Lucas Latina, who contributed one each. Weir recorded 30 saves for London. The Nationals incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Rockets' Dane Gubbels stopped 50 shots out of the 55 that he faced. Strathroy incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
