Beaudoin leads LaSalle over Sarnia, 6-1

Daniel Beaudoin was all over the ice for the LaSalle Vipers, as he tallied one goal and three assists in LaSalle's 6-1 win over the Sarnia Legionnaires.

Beaudoin scored 13:17 into the second period to make the score 3-1 LaSalle. Liam MacDougall picked up the assist. Beaudoin dished an assist on MacDougall's goal that made the score 1-0 LaSalle at 52 seconds into the first period. He then added assists on Nathan Savage's goal at 7:14 into the second and on MacDougall's goal at 16:24 into the second.

The win gave the Vipers a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series.

LaSalle was led by goalie Eli Billing, who finished with 32 saves while allowing one goal. Despite the solid performance, Billing will actually see his goals against average rise, as it stood at 1.0 entering the contest.

The Vipers forced Legionnaires' goalies to work all game long, getting 43 shots and forcing 37 saves. Aidan Hughes made 23 stops and Shayne Battler made 14. LaSalle's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Sarnia power plays.

LaSalle additionally got points from MacDougall, who also had two goals and two assists and Savage, who also tallied one goal and two assists. Others who scored for LaSalle included Connor Rosaasen and Brett Primeau, who scored one goal each. More assists for LaSalle came via Connor Matton, Cale Allen, and Eric Kirby, who each chipped in one.

The Vipers were unable to stop Sarnia from sending pucks towards the net, and the Legionnaires eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.

Sarnia was led by Ethan Dupont, who scored the team's only goal. Dupont scored 3:34 into the first period to make the score 1-1. PJ Vandervaart assisted on the tally.

LaSalle incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Legionnaires incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
