Huge game by Azzano boosts Markham over Whitby, 7-6

The win by Markham clinched the best of seven series at four-one

Royals put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Whitby to score on any of their four power plays.Markham kept Fury's goalie busy throughout the game, and Daniel Mannella made 36 saves on 43 shots.

Markham additionally got points from Tyson Bruce, who also registered one goal and three assists and Sean Perichak, who also registered two goals and one assist. Markham also had goals scored by Rylee St. Onge and Aaron Spivak, who each put in one. In addition, Markham received assists from Joel Knight, who had two and Lucas Condotta, Trevor Abbot, Brandon Washer, and Laine McKay, who each chipped in one.

Whitby kept Royals's goalie busy throughout the game, and Scott Smith made 11 saves on 32 shots.

Fury were helped by Steven Elliott, who tallied three goals and one assist.Whitby also got points from Ty Dellandrea, who also registered one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Whitby included Ryan Heeps and Brock Welsh, who scored one each. More assists for Whitby came via Alex Boudreau, Justin Brand, Ryan Taylor, Reilly Smith, and Jeffrey Gauld, who contributed one apiece.

Markham incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Whitby incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
