Burlington boosted by Lee's play in net, beats Toronto Jr. Canadiens 4-1

The Burlington Cougars relied on the sparkling performance of Andrew Lee in net to grab a 4-1 win against the Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens.

The win gave Burlington a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series.

The Cougars were led by Willy Paul, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Paul scored 29 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-1 Burlington. Jordan Peacock picked up the assist.

Burlington excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.

Burlington also got points from Chris Cobham, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Burlington included James McLaughlin and Matt Holmes, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Burlington were Mike Faliero, Philip Lagunov, and Tyler Riter, who contributed one each.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens was led by Connor Beck, who scored the team's only goal. Beck scored 5:00 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Toronto Jr. Canadiens.

The Cougars' Lee stopped 27 shots out of the 28 that he faced. Burlington incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Brendan Bonello rejected 23 shots on goal for the Junior Canadiens. Toronto Jr. Canadiens incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
