The win by Kitchener clinched the best of seven series at four-one Dutchmen kept Brantford's goalie busy throughout the game, and Will Rawski made 33 saves on 37 shots. Kitchener also got points from Owen Lane, who also registered one goal and one assist and Matthew Cruickshank, who also registered one goal and one assist. Austin Gaboury also scored for Kitchener. More assists for Kitchener came via Adam Kawalec and Taite Wirschke, who contributed two apiece and Logan Schmidt, who had one. 99ers were led by Matt Scanlin, who scored the team's only goal. Scanlin scored on the power play in the third period to make the score 2-1 Kitchener. Christian Polillo claimed the first assist on the goal, and Kyle Walker got the second. Kitchener's Luke Richardson stopped 20 shots out of the 21 that he faced. Dutchmen incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Brantford incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
