After the loss made the series score 1-3 in the best of seven series, Guelph faces elimination next time out. Hurricanes threw everything they had at Elmira's Jonathan Reinhart, but he responded by making 32 saves to secure the win. Sugar Kings were led by Rob Kohli, who finished with one goal. Kohli scored in the second period to make the score 2-1 Elmira. The score was assisted by Kalob Witzell and Ty Biles. Elmira put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Guelph to score on any of their five power plays. Elmira also got a goal from Zac Cameron as well. In addition, Elmira received assists from Witzell, who had two and Biles, who had one. Hurricanes put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Sugar Kings to score on any of their three power plays.Elmira were unable to stop Guelph from sending pucks towards the net, and Guelph eventually piled up 33 shots on goal. Guelph were led by Stefano Pezzetta, who scored the team's only goal. Pezzetta scored in the second period to make the score 1-1 . The goal was assisted by Sebastian Stangherlin and Sean Power. Sugar Kings incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Hurricanes' Jason DaSilva stopped 28 shots out of the 30 that he faced.
