Reinhart leads Elmira to victory over GuelphSleeman Centre Tue, Mar 08, 2016 Story by Narrative Science.
The win by Elmira broke a deadlock and gave Elmira a two-one advantage in the best of seven series. Guelph threw everything they had at Sugar Kings's Jonathan Reinhart, but he responded by making 32 saves to secure the win. Elmira were led by Jake Moggy, who racked up one goal. Moggy scored on the power play in the second period to make the score 2-1 Elmira. Jeff Jordan claimed the first assist on the goal, and Alex Peterson got the second. Zac Coulter also scored for Elmira. More assists for Elmira came via Jordan, Ethan Skinner, and Peterson, who contributed one apiece. Sugar Kings were unable to stop Hurricanes from sending pucks towards the net, and Hurricanes eventually piled up 33 shots on goal. Hurricanes were led by Brody Milne, who scored the team's only goal. Milne scored on the power play in the second period to make the score 1-0 Guelph. Cameron Stokes and Cameron Palmer registered the assists on the goal. Elmira incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Jason DaSilva recorded 24 saves for Guelph. Hurricanes incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
