Niagara Falls squeaks by Fort Erie, 5-3

After the loss made the series score 1-3 in the best of seven series, Fort Erie faces elimination next time out.

Sean Farquharson was all over the ice for Niagara Falls, as he tallied two goals and two assists in the win. Farquharson scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 18:19 into the second period to make the score 2-2 . Farquharson's next tally on the power play made the score 4-2 Niagara Falls in the third period. Thomas Flack claimed the first assist on the goal, and Matthew Baldinelli got the second.

Canucks's penalty kill excelled, as Canucks gave up one goal despite allowing eight power plays.

Niagara Falls got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed two goals during the gameCanucks had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just two goals on nine chances.Niagara Falls kept Fort Erie's goalie busy throughout the game, and Brayden Lachance made 31 saves on 36 shots.

Niagara Falls also had goals scored by Carson Edwardson, who had one and Frank Pucci, who had two. In addition, Niagara Falls received assists from Matthew Marsden, who had two and Phillip Chadder, who had one.

Meteors were helped by Holden Garlent, who racked up two goals.Garlent scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 6:34 into the first period to make the score 1-1 . Bryce Martin provided the assist. Garlent's next tally on the power play made the score 4-3 Niagara Falls in the third period. The score was assisted by Cole Cameron and Ben Evans.Fort Erie additionally got points from Evans, who also registered one goal and one assist. Fort Erie also got a goal from Garlent as well. More assists for Fort Erie came via Cameron, who had two and Martin, who had one.

Adam Dentico made 22 saves for Canucks on 25 shots. Niagara Falls ended with 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors and two majors. For Canucks, Taggart Ledyard, Pucci, and Edwardson were ejected from the contest. Fort Erie incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
