WHITBY pulled out a 1-0 (OT) overtime victory over DURHAM WEST on a clutch goal by Briana Colangelo (C).

The win gave WHITBY a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Colangelo (C)'s game-winning tally was the game's only goal. It came at 48 seconds in the fourth period. Emily Reid (A) picked up the assist.

WHITBY stifled DURHAM WEST's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

In addition, WHITBY received assists from Victoria Howran, who had one.

DURHAM WEST put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow WHITBY to score on any of its eight power plays.
