St. Andrews College downs Upper Canada College, 6-3

Otto Saarimaa grabbed two points to lead the St. Andrews College Saints to a 6-3 victory over the Upper Canada College Blues.

St. Andrews College put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Upper Canada College to score on any of its three power plays. The Saints forced the Blues goalie Colby Muise to work between the pipes, taking 46 shots.

St. Andrews College additionally got points from Jacob Miller, who also had one goal and one assist, Kody Clark, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Morgan Barron, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for St. Andrews College included Mitchell Martan and Alex MacDonald, who scored one goal each. More assists for St. Andrews College came via Reid Yochim, who had two and Connor Ali, Ryan OConnell, and Regan Kimens, who each chipped in one.

Upper Canada College's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals. The Blues were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 26 penalty minutes.

Upper Canada College was helped by Gabriel Boucher, who registered one goal. Boucher scored zero seconds into the third period to make the score 3-3. Upper Canada College also had goals scored by Jacob Golden and Mo Assaf, who each put in one. In addition, Upper Canada College received assists from Mats Gavelin, who had one.

St. Andrews College's Cole Chapman stopped 19 shots out of the 22 that he faced. The Saints incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Muise recorded 40 saves for the Blues.
