Huge game by Barron boosts St. Andrews College over Upper Canada College, 6-3

Morgan Barron had one goal and two assists to lead the St. Andrews College Saints to a 6-3 victory over the Upper Canada College Blues.

Barron scored on the power play 6:16 into the third period to make the score 4-2 St. Andrews College. St. Andrews College had gained a power play chance when Keenan Conlon was whistled for high sticking. Reid Yochim provided the assist. Barron dished an assist on Alex MacDonald's goal that made the score 2-0 St. Andrews College at 15 seconds into the second period. He added another helper on Mitchell Martan's goal that made the score 3-1 St. Andrews College at 8:40 into the second period.

The Saints excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. St. Andrews College's offense rang up 46 shots on Upper Canada College's net.

St. Andrews College also got points from Otto Saarimaa, who also registered one goal and one assist, Jacob Miller, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Kody Clark, who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, St. Andrews College received assists from Connor Ali, Ryan OConnell, and Regan Kimens, who each chipped in one.

The Blues struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as they finished the game with 26 penalty minutes for seven opposing power plays. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Upper Canada College was helped by Mo Assaf, who had one goal. Assaf scored 9:45 into the second period to make the score 3-2 St. Andrews College. Mats Gavelin picked up the assist. Upper Canada College also had goals scored by Jacob Golden and Gabriel Boucher, who scored one goal each.

Cole Chapman made 19 saves for the Saints on 22 shots. St. Andrews College incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Colby Muise recorded 40 saves for the Blues.
