Meyerink, Amherstburg blank Blenheim, 5-0

Connor Meyerink recorded a shutout against the Blenheim Blades as the Amherstburg Integrity Admirals picked up a 5-0 win.

After the loss made the series score 3-2 in the best of seven series, Blenheim faces elimination next time out.

Amherstburg's penalty kill excelled, as the Integrity Admirals gave up zero goals despite allowing nine power plays.

Amherstburg stifled the Blades' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

The Integrity Admirals were helped by Travis Campbell, who finished with one goal. Campbell scored 17:48 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Amherstburg. Amherstburg additionally got points from Caleb Paquette, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Amherstburg also got a goal from Dylan Muzzatti as well. In addition, Amherstburg received assists from Curtis Prymack, who had two and Marshal Laing, Ryan Alexander, Broden Meloche, Austin Jennings, and Kasey Basile, who contributed one each.

Meyerink recorded 28 saves for Amherstburg. The Integrity Admirals incurred 46 minutes in penalty time with 13 minors. Blenheim's starting goalie, Klinton Kenney, made 14 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Eric Stewardson, who stopped three shots. The Blades incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
