Alicia Pallister gave WHITBY the lead in the first period, and SOUTHWEST was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 3-1. A goal 9:32 into the first period by Pallister proved to be the game winner, and powered WHITBY to the victory. Maya Patel assisted on the tally.WHITBY was led by Emily Reid, who tallied one goal. Reid scored 5:10 into the second period to make the score 2-0 WHITBY. Nikita Boardman picked up the assist. WHITBY excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. WHITBY additionally got points from Pallister, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. WHITBY also got a goal from Samantha Isbell as well. In addition, WHITBY received assists from Victoria Howran and Brooke McQuigge, who each chipped in one. WHITBY's defense shut down SOUTHWEST's forwards for much of the game, and SOUTHWEST got off only 13 shots during the contest. SOUTHWEST could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game. SOUTHWEST was led by Jillian Crane, who scored the team's only goal. Crane scored 10:59 into the third period to make the score 2-1 WHITBY. Sara Mayrand assisted on the tally. Emma Schram made 12 saves for WHITBY on 13 shots. WHITBY incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Emily OBright recorded 27 saves for SOUTHWEST. |
