Brendan Schaefer gave the Ayr Centennials a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Wellesley Applejacks when he scored 4:15 into the extra period. The win gave Ayr a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series. Wellesley could not complete its climb out of a two-goal hole. The Centennials made it 3-1 on a short handed goal by Riley Clipper at 15:51 in the second period. The Applejacks pulled to within 3-2 on a goal by Spencer Brick at 6:19 in the third period. Schaefer had two goals to lead Ayr to victory. The Centennials forced Wellesley goalie Ryan Hergott to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots. Ayr managed to hold the Applejacks' power play largely in check, allowing only one goal while on the disadvantage. Ayr also got points from Cash Seraphim, who also tallied one goal and one assist. In addition, Ayr received assists from Ben Roelofson, Matt Harding, Tyler Harrison, Carver Ormiston, and Quinn Diamond, who contributed one each. Wellesley was helped by Braidon Kerbs, who finished with one goal. Kerbs scored 7:26 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Wellesley. Brady Gerber provided the assist. Wellesley additionally got points from Brick, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Brenden Goran also scored for Wellesley. More assists for Wellesley came via Shaun Pickering, Scott Martin, and Nick Mercier, who each chipped in one. Jackson Swindells recorded 27 saves for the Centennials. Ayr incurred 64 minutes in penalty time with 17 minors. The Applejacks' Hergott stopped 33 shots out of the 37 that he faced. Wellesley incurred 60 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors. The Applejacks ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Pickering was ejected from the game.
