Huge game by Ennett boosts New Hamburg over Paris, 6-3Wilmot Recreation Complex Fri, Feb 26, 2016 Story by Narrative Science.
The New Hamburg Firebirds' Jerry Ennett had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 6-3 win over the Paris Mounties. Ennett scored at 15:39 into the first period to make the score 2-1 New Hamburg and again while on the power play 17:43 into the third to make the score 5-3 New Hamburg.The win by New Hamburg broke a deadlock and gave the Firebirds a 2-1 advantage in the best of seven series. New Hamburg excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Firebirds forced Paris goalie Davis McLean to work between the pipes, taking 43 shots. New Hamburg additionally got points from Tyler Hoffman, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Others who scored for New Hamburg included Colin Martin, Tyler Randerson, and Adam Zehr, who scored one goal each. More assists for New Hamburg came via Curtis Smith, who had two and Ethan Adair, Tyler Kleine, and Brodie Muckler, who each chipped in one. The Mounties' offense rang up 39 shots on New Hamburg's net. Paris got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. The Mounties were helped by Graham Evans, who finished with one goal. Evans scored 1:40 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Paris. Cole Corriveau picked up the assist. Paris also had goals scored by Hunter Dubecki AP and Brayden Lane, who each put in one. In addition, Paris received assists from Griffin Heitshu and Ryan Stephenson, who contributed one each.
