The Walkerton Hawks tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the Mitchell Hawks held on for a 4-3 victory. A goal by Evan Chaffe put Mitchell up 4-2 in the third period, but Walkerton pulled to within one on Spencer Elder's tally 18:10 into the third period. With the win, the Hawks avoided elimination to make the series score 3-1 in the best of seven series. The Hawks' power play was ineffective against Mitchell's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. The Hawks' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Walkerton power plays. Mitchell also got points from Jalen Aitcheson, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Mitchell included Nic Jung and Kyle Spence, who each put in one. More assists for Mitchell came via Haydn Favacho, who had one and Trevor Skinner, Garrett James, and Trevor MacDonald, who contributed two each. Walkerton forced Mitchell goalie Brock Baier to work between the pipes, taking 47 shots. Walkerton also had goals scored by Braden Boley and Brooks Nelthorpe, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Walkerton were Nathan Kramer, Chris RolfVonDenBauman, and Austin Russell, who each chipped in one. Baier recorded 44 saves for the Hawks. Mitchell incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Hawks' Nick Redman stopped 26 shots out of the 30 that he faced. Walkerton incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Hawks ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Brendan Welsh was ejected from the game.
